When it comes to working to build new habits into your lifestyle it’s important to have a game plan and steps in place to set yourself up for success. In today’s post CDSF Registered Dietitian and Precision Nutrition Level 2 coach Samantha Sirani helps you develop the habit of incorporating veggies at every meal.
Getting veggies in during all of your meals is important because:
They’re loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are all important for your health and eating a well-balanced diet.
They contain fiber for good digestion
They have a low caloric density (fewer calories) and can leave you feeling more full.
If you struggle fitting veggies into your breakfast, lunch, and dinner give these below strategies a try!
Breakfast: Add to your eggs or smoothie.
Lunch: Have a salad or prep veggies ahead of time
Dinner: Make sure that half of your plate is filled with vegetables.
