When training, it’s important to remember that power development is plane specific. 
_
Exercises like squats, deadlifts, and hip thrusts are great for building strength and power in the sagittal plane, but as a rotational sport athlete training side-to-side and rotational power exercises will allow you to have more elasticity and power that will transfer to the field.
